Notemarks, LLC Joins WebEx Connect Developer Network to Build Notemark Save-Engine Applications for WebEx Connect Platform

WebEx Connect Unlocks Software Suite and Enables New Generation of Distributed Innovation with On-Demand Integration, Distribution and Monetization Platform

BALTIMORE and SAN FRANCISCO, Web 2.0 Expo, April 17, 2007—Notemarks, LLC and WebEx (Nasdaq: WEBX), the leading provider of on-demand applications for collaborative business, today announced that Notemarks has joined the WebEx Connect Developer Network to make the Notemark save-engine application available via WebEx Connect.

WebEx Connect, the first collaborative on-demand platform, will enable developers and customers to integrate multiple applications to create powerful collaborative business "mashup" solutions from best-of-breed web-based, on-premises and desktop applications. Notemark is a cross-platform, hybrid application designed to replace today’s traditional bookmarks by providing an invaluable new tool for users to save and manage their web content. With synced interfaces residing both on the desktop and in the browser, the Notemark allows users to selectively drag-and-drop content from any website into the Notemark. Text, links, photos and virtually anything that lives on an HTML page can be dragged from the browser and into the Notemark GUI for instant saving and sharing.

The Notemark will provide WebEx and its millions of users a breakthrough application that greatly enhances the functionality of the WebEx Connect workspace. Users will be able to save and organize content into the Notemark and then instantly access and share this information during the web conference by dragging it into the WebEx Connect grid.

“Notemarks is proud to partner with WebEx to enhance its WebEx Connect platform with our save-engine application,” said Justin Jewett, vice president of strategic partnerships, Notemarks. “WebEx users will not only gain a valuable tool for use during their businsss collaboration but also in their everyday lives. When used as a desktop companion outside of the WebEx Connect environment, the Notemark will become a vehicle for WebEx to maximize exposure and extend brand reach.“

The Notemark is one of the many applications users will be able to access through the WebEx Connect Marketplace of applications. WebEx Connect will enable users to integrate data from multiple applications into collaborative workspaces, custom designed for their particular workflows and business processes. Unlike traditional transactional applications, WebEx Connect is designed to improve productivity by enhancing collaboration and interaction between individuals. By leveraging open Web 2.0 protocols and collaborative WebEx applications programming interfaces (APIs), WebEx Connect will make it easy to adapt on-demand, desktop, and enterprise applications to create composite, “mashup” applications.

“The vision behind the Notemark fits seamlessly with our collaborative platform and ultimately the service we want to provide our users,” said Shankar Iyer, vice president, WebEx Connect ecosystem. “Adding Notemarks to our growing list of partners taps into a new area of functionality that will enhance our user experience.”

The WebEx Connect Developer Network provides the tools, training, resources and community that developers need to build and market applications for WebEx Connect. Developers can access WebEx Connect documentation, APIs, a “sandbox” development platform and join the partner program to access a prototype WebEx Connect client. WebEx Connect partner marketing services can help developers generate go-to-market strategies and leads for the applications on the WebEx Connect Marketplace.
