France Telecom to Offer Interactive Web Communications Services Built on WebEx Network

SAN JOSE, Calif., October 22, 2001—WebEx Communications, Inc. (NASDAQ: WEBX), the leader in interactive communications infrastructure for business meetings on the Web, today announced that it has signed an agreement with France Telecom (NYSE: FTE) to provide the communications infrastructure for France Telecom’s new Web conferencing service. The new service will allow France Telecom’s corporate customers to hold highly interactive Web meetings through a standard browser. WebEx’s switch-based communications infrastructure supports data, voice and video communications and allows users to communicate in real-time on the Web. With more than 4,700 corporate customers and agreements with the leading telecommunications companies, WebEx is the standard for business meetings on the Web.
