WebEx to Showcase Enterprise Web Collaboration Suite at Gartner Symposium/ITxpo

On-Demand Web Collaboration Applications Enable High-Performance Workplace and Deliver Rapid Return on Investment

GARTNER SYMPOSIUM/ITxpo, ORLANDO, FL., OCTOBER 17, 2005—WebEx Communications Inc. (Nasdaq: WEBX), the leading provider of on-demand collaboration applications, will demonstrate its enterprise suite of applications at the Gartner Symposium ITxpo from Oct. 16 - 21, 2005, at the Walt Disney World Dolphin in Orlando. For enterprise organizations, WebEx offers an integrated suite of process-centric web collaboration solutions for sales, training, support and marketing. WebEx applications support both synchronous and asynchronous collaboration.

According to Gartner, “Increased collaboration at all levels is crucial to the high-performance workplace concept. Web collaboration can help people work together with colleagues and business partners, share information, make better decisions, work on more projects simultaneously and increase the impact of their work. Reducing travel can provide hard ROI savings, but improved ways of working can provide far greater benefits.”

WebEx applications enable businesses to leverage the web as an efficient channel for collaborative interaction with customers, partners and co-workers. These applications enhance business communications with live interaction over the web, an interaction model WebEx calls “web touch.” WebEx applications add web touch to the business-critical components of sales, support, training and marketing processes.

The WebEx enterprise suite makes the entire range of WebEx applications accessible with a single login. Customers can start with one WebEx solution and integrate additional solutions as needs change or additional departments add a web-touch interaction channel. The WebEx enterprise suite allows companies to streamline administration processes with centralized administration tools and increase departmental accountability with cost allocation tracking capabilities.

The applications currently available in the WebEx enterprise suite include:

  • WebEx Meeting Center—Recreates the interactivity and spontaneity of face-to-face meetings with real-time data, voice and video sharing capabilities.
  • WebEx Sales Center—Features automatic attention notification to alert sales professionals when they are losing a prospect’s attention, branded prospect portals to provide a secure location in which to share information with the prospect and real-time sales analytics and reporting.
  • WebEx Training Center—Creates an engaging online classroom experience that allows businesses to maximize audience reach, increase proactive training, enhance productivity and decrease training/travel expenses.
  • WebEx Support Center—Allows support agents to identify, resolve and track customer issues within a secure, online support session.
  • WebEx Event Center—Specifically designed for web seminars and events; WebEx Event Center includes automated lead scoring, email invitation management and an event producer dashboard.

“WebEx applications allow enterprise organizations to accelerate the pace of business by leveraging the web for collaborative, web-touch interactions with customers, colleagues and partners,” said Bill Heil, president and COO, WebEx. “The WebEx enterprise suite combines all our applications to enable collaboration at every level. The administration dashboard makes it easy to centralize control while giving each department a solution designed for its specific business process.”
