SANTA CLARA, Calif., February 17, 2005—WebEx Communications, Inc, (NASDAQ: WEBX), the leading provider of on-demand collaborative business applications, today announced the appointment of Bert van der Zwan as vice president EMEA.
Van der Zwan has over 20 years of senior management experience in the European technology market, including eight years at data and voice networking company, 3Com Corporation. At 3Com, Van der Zwan was managing director of Mid and North Europe and was responsible for all direct and channel sales activities. Most recently, Van der Zwan was managing director of Action Engine, a joint venture between Microsoft and Intel, and a leading application platform provider for mobile devices. He was responsible for all aspects of the business in EMEA and played a key role in building platform relationships with mobile operators, relevant channels and the region’s large hardware vendors.
