Web Video Goes Primetime with CNBC and WebEx
CNBC’s Fast Money Program Adds Streaming Viewer Video via WebEx
SANTA CLARA, Calif., March 8, 2007—The worlds of Web 2.0 and broadcast television are starting to converge.
CNBC’s fast-paced “Fast Money” television program (8 PM-9 PM ET, weeknights) allows viewers to interact with the Fast Money Five hosts in real-time via webcams. Fast Money is using WebEx Meeting Center from on-demand collaboration leader WebEx (Nasdaq: WEBX) to deliver live video in a new “Face 2 Face” question and answer segment. According to CNBC, Fast Money is the first financial program to include viewer video as a component of a regular segment.
Anchored by CNBC’s Dylan Ratigan, Fast Money is a rapid-paced, highly charged hour where four of Wall Street’s savviest traders debate and discuss the hot trades of the day. “Fast Money” is the only financial news program that converts news of the day into daily trading opportunities.
Fast Money viewers only need a webcam and internet connection to participate in Fast Money’s Face 2 Face segment. For more information or to take part in segment, go to (http://www.cnbc.com/id/16468645 or email fastmoney@cnbc.com and put "webcam" in the subject line.
