No, we don’t take your credit card or any payment details when you sign up for a free plan. It will always be free, and you never have to worry about any surprise charges. When you’re ready to upgrade to a paid Webex Meetings plan, then you can enter a credit card.
Voice over Internet Protocols (VoIP) is the technology that converts your voice into a digital signal. That allows you to talk to others over the internet instead of with a phone. Webex Meetings uses VoIP to let you call into a meeting using your computer. With a paid plan, you can still dial into a meeting with your phone, but you don’t have to.
A host license gets you access to paid features. So first, you pick your plan—then get a host license for each person who needs to use your paid Webex Meetings plan. Anyone can join a Webex meeting as a Participant, they don’t need a Webex Meetings host license to attend a meeting. When you have a Webex Meetings host license, you can host meetings with up to 150 participants on the Starter and up to 200 participants on the Business plan. If you need to host larger meetings and events, give sales a call.
Purchasing more than one host license allows your organization to host meetings simultaneously. For example, one license allows one hosted meeting at once, two licenses allow two hosted meetings at once, and three licenses three hosted meetings at once, etc.
We accept credit cards and PayPal. You’ll see a list of the payment methods we accept in the shopping cart when you enter your billing information. Our servers encrypt all information submitted to them, so you can be confident that your payment information will be kept safe and secure.
